Best Memory of Gary:
Most recently, I remember when my parents and I were out in Arizona for his rehab. It was the day that he was going to tell us the things we did that hurt him which was a very scary and emotional day. We were not supposed to have any contact with him at all, but before the session that day my brother got my attention and tossed me a bracelet he had bought me. It read FEAR NOT. He knew I was worried and just wanted to let me know there was nothing to be scared about. When we got to the session my brother did not have one bad thing to say to me. He just told me that I was the best sister he could have asked for and that he loved me. I had not worn my bracelet in months but the day my brother died before I found out in the morning, I went into my jewelry box and put it on randomly. When the police came to our door, I had on my bracelet and it was like my brother was telling me again not to fear… that he was alright. |
